POSTNATAL CLASSES AND PROGRAMS
The recovery period post-pregnancy varies for everyone. After giving birth, either vaginally or via caesarean section, your body takes time to rest and heal, and this process needs to be respected. The postnatal period is usually made up of a lot of time spent sitting, feeding, nursing, carrying and lifting. Han has designed our postnatal classes to take into account the specific needs of new mums and focuses on spinal mobility, upper back stretches, hip stretches, hip strengthening and re-engaging the pelvic floor and deep abdominals.
You can choose your own classes from our postnatal library depending on how you feel each day. Or, if you prefer a little structure and guidance, you can follow our 8-week program. Your Pilates classes are laid out clearly for you each week, and there are educational videos to help take some of the confusion out of the postpartum period.
*You will need to see your GP or obstetrician to be cleared to exercise again after giving birth. Our Pilates also suggests seeing a Women’s Health Physio to assess your pelvic floor and abdominal separation and offer any specific exercises you may require in addition to regular Pilates.
